Drop Test

August 14th, 2004: The successful maiden flight of the Canadian Arrow crew cabin, 2km off Toronto's Centre Island. The recovery system perfomed perfectly, and more importantly, the parachute was dry and ready for re-packing within 24 hours. Unlike recovery from the ocean, where parachutes must be cleaned of salt, fresh water recovery will provide us the fastest turn-around time possible.

This drop test has cleared the way for powered flights within the next few months.

Special thanks go out to Cross Current Divers of London, Ontario who brought the expertise required for safe recovery of the parachutes and crew cabin from the water.
